Guest: Peter Platten, Chief Revenue Officer of Protos Security. Peter joined the company in 2020 and has helped lead its transformation from a $150 million organization to a $750 million revenue firm today.
Overview: Private equity doesn’t reward incremental thinking. It rewards leaders who can scale under pressure, build systems that outperform, and push past what most teams believe is possible to Make BIG Happen.
Peter Platten on “pushing the possible”:
“ Some folks will say, ‘It’s too difficult,’ or, ‘It’s too lofty.’ But we’ll take a look at what our goals are, what the time period is, and then we’ll work backwards. And by doing that, we’re able to get more intentional as opposed to hopeful. And when we look at what those goals need to be, building our structure is to account for the overage. I know that if we set our goal on $100 million or $200 million, we’re going to come in at $50 million or $150 million. So we set those goals a bit higher to build in some insurance around the process. And then we just have to make sure that we attract the right talent, apply the right processes, structure, training, and technology to support us in that effort.”
