The Loss Prevention Foundation (LPF) is pleased to announce the election of Kris Vece and Rick Peck as its newest Executive Committee members. Both long-time supporters and board members of the LPF, Vece, Vice President of Enterprise Accounts at Protos, and Peck, Senior Vice President at The TJX Companies, each hold the LPC designation and have served the LPF family—and the broader loss prevention community—for many years. Vece makes history as the first woman elected to the committee, bringing years of industry leadership and advocacy for professional education in loss prevention.

“Rick and Kris are the ideal candidates to complement the already broad skillset we enjoy on our Executive Committee, as well as on our board overall,” noted LPF President Caroline Kochman. “I look forward to working with them both to build, broaden, and improve the LPF brand, expand our educational offerings, and enhance our operational excellence—all of which will help us better serve the LP community and fulfill our mission.”

Kris Vece, LPC, began her career with the Protos brand of companies in 2004 as a client relations manager. She has since earned three promotions, reaching her current role as Vice President of Enterprise Accounts, where she leads efforts to retain valued clients, grow strategic partnerships and drive long-term account success. Known for her dedication to excellence, Vece has earned a reputation as a security and loss prevention expert. She has served the LPF in myriad ways, including as a leader on the LPF Advisory Committee. Vece earned her LPQ in 2017 and her LPC in 2023. She is also a member of ASIS International, where she serves on the Retail Asset Protection Steering Committee, and is active in the International Association of Women’s Women in Leadership program.

Rick Peck, LPC, has steadily risen through the ranks of leadership since joining TJX in 1999 as a district loss prevention manager. Promoted to his current role in 2016, Peck is widely regarded as an innovative leader with strong business vision and a passion for developing talent. His deep field knowledge and diverse experience across divisions and functions within loss prevention have made him a valued strategic partner to the TJX organization. He holds a BS in criminal justice from Northeastern University and earned his LPC in 2019.

“I could not be more pleased that Kris and Rick will be joining the Executive Committee,” said Mark Stinde, executive committee chair for the Loss Prevention Foundation. “Kris brings a refreshing point of view—not only as a long-time and well-respected solution provider partner but also as someone who has completed both certification programs and remains an advocate for ongoing education. Rick is a natural leader and motivator who consistently leads by example. His many years in the retail arena, well-rounded skills as a C-level executive, and longstanding service to the LP industry will round out the Executive Committee’s skill set nicely.”
